Beat for beat

What happens in the 15 seconds

The same shot and timing as the viral clip, so it reads as the trend at a glance.

The creep-in

One slow push across a dark apartment block toward the only window with the light on.

The bite

The window fills the frame: you, alone at a little table, a big burger in both hands.

The stare

You freeze mid-chew, cheeks full, and stare straight into the lens. No smile. Just slow chewing.

The burger goes down

Still holding eye contact, you lower the burger back into its box.

The curtain

You stand up and pull the curtain across, glaring from behind its edge until the window is covered.

The sound

Night street hum, a crinkling paper bag, slow chewing and the curtain swish, laid over the finished video.

The trend

What is the Window Peeper trend?

The clip. Night, an apartment block, every window dark but one. The camera creeps closer like someone is filming from across the street, and there they are: alone at a little table, eating a burger. They notice. They freeze mid-chew and stare right back. Then they get up and pull the curtain. It's a staged joke, not a real peeping video: nobody is being filmed without knowing it.

Where it started. The earliest template post we could find is by @therealrodentspawn on TikTok, posted on 20 October 2026 with the caption "Try this filter yourself" and a Mr Bean lookalike at the window. It had about 2.7 million views by 27 October, and celebrity versions from the same account went higher, the biggest past 9.5 million. A bulldog take by @justabulldog went up the same day.

Also called. Window Peeper filter, Burger Window, Mr Bean window, or "caught eating a burger at the window". Most people make it with a CapCut template linked from those TikTok posts; who built the template has not been confirmed.

What this effect does. It redraws the clip shot for shot with your photo at the window: the same push-in, bite, deadpan stare and curtain pull, 15 seconds long, with plain unbranded takeaway packaging, and lays the clip's sound over the finished video. The source is turned into a line drawing first, so no face from the original goes into your video.

Casting

Who to catch at the window

The more wholesome they look, the funnier the stare. One photo, one diner.

You

Your secret late-night burger, exposed. Post it before someone else does.

Grandma or dad

The family group chat favourite. Ask them first; the deadpan glare does the rest.

Your dog or cat

Burger in its own paws, its own fur and face, pawing the curtain shut at the end. The pet takes are some of the trend's most shared.

Photo tips

Tips for a better Window Peeper video

A clear face

Front-facing, evenly lit, eyes visible, no sunglasses or masks. The stare is the whole joke, so the eyes matter most.

Head and shoulders

You're seen waist-up through the glass, so a head-and-shoulders or half-body photo keeps your face and clothes right.

One subject per photo

One adult or one pet. No group shots, children, celebrities or strangers.

Try another take

Every take is a little different. A new one costs the same, a failed one nothing.

FAQ

Window Peeper AI questions

What is the Window Peeper filter?

A TikTok and CapCut trend from October 2026: a night camera creeps up to the one lit window of an apartment block, where someone is eating a burger alone. They freeze mid-chew, stare into the lens and pull the curtain. In the AI versions that someone is you, a friend, or a pet.

Is it the same as the Mr Bean window or Burger Window meme?

Yes. The first template post that spread had a Mr Bean lookalike at the window, so people search it as Mr Bean window, Burger Window or Window Peeper. Same clip, same joke.

Do I need CapCut?

No. One photo is all it takes: the building, the window, the burger, the curtain and the sound come from the effect. There is no template link to find and no prompt to write.

Can I put my dog or cat at the window?

Yes. Add one clear photo of your pet and it sits at the table with the burger in its own paws, keeping its own fur and face. One animal per photo.

Is this a real peeping video?

No. It's a staged joke made from your own photo: the person at the window is the one making the video. Don't use it to film or fake anyone who hasn't agreed.

Whose photo can I use?

Your own, or an adult who agreed to it, or your pet. Don't upload celebrities, strangers or children. RapVideo AI is not affiliated with TikTok, CapCut or the creators of the original clip.
