How to Make an Alors on danse AI Video (Step by Step, 2026)

How to make the Alors on danse AI video from two photos. Who plays keys and who hypes, why photo 2 matters more than photo 1, what the backwards jog-off needs, and the keyboard bug we hit building it.

oct. 8, 2026

The Alors on danse meme is two people in a white studio: one taps a beat on a mini keyboard, the other hypes, leans into the camera laughing, and then both jog off backwards dancing. This guide shows how to make your own with Alors on danse AI, how to split the two parts, and what to watch for in the close-up.

New to the meme? Start with what "alors on danse" means and where the clip comes from.

The original and ours

The AI Altman and Amodei version that went viral.

Our version with two AI-generated people, made from two photos.

Ours is the last 15 seconds of the studio clip in landscape 16:9, with the matching 15 seconds of "Alors on danse" on the file. Unlike most two-person memes, the two parts here are not equal: one person spends most of the clip in the background, and the other gets the only close-up.

The two parts are not equal

TimeKeyboard player (photo 1)Hype partner (photo 2)
0–4sAt the table, tapping out the beat, mid-shotBeside them, nodding, pointing at the laptop, conducting
4–9.7sKeeps playing, grinning in the backgroundLeans right into the lens, face filling half the frame, laughing and shaking their head
9.7–15sJogs backwards with the other one, getting smallerThe same, both dancing as the camera rises

That middle beat is the one people share, and it is all photo 2. So:

  • Your best photo goes in slot 2. If one of the two photos is sharper or better lit, put that person on hype.
  • Photo 1 can be a bit weaker. The keyboard player is never closer than a mid-shot, so a decent photo is enough.

Step 1: Cast it

The joke is someone doing the real work while someone else takes the credit. Put the person who actually does the work on keys and the one who talks about it on hype. Pairs that fit:

  • The coworker who built the deck and the one who presented it
  • The friend who plans the trip and the one who just shows up
  • A producer and a rapper, or a kid at the keyboard and a parent cheering

Only have one photo of the two of you? The person on the left plays keys and the person on the right hypes. Flip the photo to switch.

Step 2: Pick photos for this clip

The general rules (clear, front-facing, even light, nothing on the face) are in the main photo guide. For Alors on danse:

  • Photo 2 must be front-facing and close. In the lean-in that face is huge. A side angle or a small face in a wide photo gets stretched, and stretched faces stop looking like the person.
  • A laughing photo helps. The hype partner laughs open-mouthed for over five seconds. A photo with teeth showing gives the AI a real reference for it.
  • Half-body or full-body for both. The jog-off shows the whole person against white. Colourful clothes stand out against the white studio; an all-white outfit can blend into it.

Step 3: Generate and post

Open the generator with the Alors on danse effect selected, add your photos and start it. It takes a few minutes. It opens in landscape, like the original, which suits X, YouTube and group chats. On TikTok and Reels a landscape video plays with bars above and below, like most of the viral versions; you can also switch to vertical before rendering.

For the caption, say who's who:

  • "Me doing the work vs. my coworker presenting it"
  • "Who wrote it vs. who takes the bow"
  • "Every plan we've ever made"

The keyboard bug we hit

Our first test render came back with a white keyboard melted into the laptop, black keys at the front edge. The reference clip is a line drawing with a sideways laptop, and the model read the two as one object.

We fixed it by describing the props on their own: a separate black 25-key MIDI keyboard on the left of the laptop, white keys nearest the player. If you make this meme with a general video model and your own prompt, check the keyboard first. It is the easiest thing to get wrong and the first thing people notice.

If the face drifts in the lean-in

The lean-in is the closest shot in the clip, so it shows every weakness in photo 2. If the hype partner looks off, it is almost always the photo: too dark, turned away, or a small face cropped out of a group shot. Retake it close and front-on. If the other person has the better photo, swap the slots.

How much it costs

A Standard 720p video is 10 credits, the same as one song, so a $9.99 Single covers it. 480p is 7 credits. Failed renders are never charged. See pricing.

This is a fan trend. RapVideo AI is independent and not affiliated with Stromae, Jamel Debbouze or the makers of the original clip.

FAQ

Does the keyboard player get a close-up?

No. The only close-up is the hype partner's lean-in. That's why the stronger photo should go in slot 2.

Can I make it vertical?

Yes. The generator opens in landscape 16:9, like the original, and you can switch the format to vertical 9:16 before you render. The jog-off reads best wide, so keep landscape unless the video is only for TikTok or Reels.

Can I do it alone?

The template has two roles, so it needs two faces: two photos, or one photo with both people in it.
