Search "hotel lobby ai app" and you get a long list of tools that all promise the same orange booth. They are not doing the same thing. Some recast the original performance with your faces, some make a new song, and some are general video tools that people bent to fit the trend.
We went through the tools people actually use and checked each one on its own page in October 2026. This is a short, fair comparison, written by the team behind RapVideo AI, so you know where we stand.
Two kinds of Hotel Lobby AI tool
Almost every option falls into one of two groups.
1. Recast the original clip. The tool takes the real performance (the moves, the camera, the song) and swaps the two rappers for the people in your photos. The result looks like the clips you have seen. The catch is that the audio is the original recording, so TikTok, Instagram and YouTube may mute it or limit it.
2. Make a new rap from photos. The tool keeps the format (two people, one hanging mic, an orange booth) but generates a new performance with new music. You give it photos and usually a topic, and you get a song about you.
RapVideo AI does both: Original remake recasts the 14-second clip with the real song, and New song writes an original rap about your topic.

Each one, briefly
RapVideo AI
Built only for the two-person rap format. You add two photos (one person each), one photo with both people, or a single photo for Solo, then pick a stage: Hotel Lobby (the orange booth, default), Luxury Lobby or Studio Booth. With New song, a language model writes lyrics from your topic (up to 120 characters, in the topic's language) and the video model generates the picture, two AI voices and the beat in one pass. Original remake puts your faces into the original 14-second clip with the real song. A standard video takes about 2 to 3 minutes. There is no voice cloning.
Higgsfield (Genjutsu)
A general video-to-video tool, not a Hotel Lobby template. Its Motion Transfer mode keeps the motion, camera and timing of a source video and rebuilds it from your reference images, which is the route many Hotel Lobby tutorials show. Strong if you want to recast any video; more setup if you only want this one meme.
CapCut templates and Dreamina
CapCut templates are edits made and shared by users, so what you get depends on who built the one you open. Dreamina, CapCut's AI generation site, has its own Hotel Lobby AI filter that takes two photos. Good if you already live in CapCut.
Starrd
A Hotel Lobby template on an app that also runs on the web. You upload two photos and get a 15-second clip; the template costs 100 Starrd credits.
Summrs
A trend-template site with a "Hotel Lobby" and a "Hotel Lobby Extended" template. New accounts get free credits.
Mitte
A "Hotel Lobby Character Swap" app that returns 30 seconds of the original performance, with the original recording, using your two photos. It needs a paid plan.
KlingMotion
A Hotel Lobby page that keeps the original track and returns a 15-second, 16:9 clip. Its page says renders usually take 10 to 20 minutes.
LightX, Media.io, Noiz, ImageAt and Fuzana
All five have a dedicated Hotel Lobby page. LightX accepts one or two portraits, Media.io and Noiz take two photos, ImageAt asks for a character sheet per person, and Fuzana gives a free preview photo of the booth before you pay for video. Noiz lets you keep the original track or replace it with its own music.
Is there a free Hotel Lobby AI?
Sort of. Several tools give free starter credits or a free first try, and some CapCut templates are free to use. In practice the free part is usually limited: one try, a short clip, a watermark, or a sign-up first.
RapVideo AI is not free. A standard video (Standard model, 720p, 12 seconds, 9:16) costs 10 credits. The single pack is $9.99 and covers one standard video, and the Basic plan ($29.90 a month for 100 credits) works out to about $2.99 per song. If a render fails, the credits go back to your account automatically, so you never pay for a broken video. See pricing.
Do you need an app?
No. Most of these tools run in a browser, including RapVideo AI, which works on a phone or a computer with nothing to install. You need the app only for CapCut templates, and for app-first tools like Starrd if you prefer the app.
How to choose in ten seconds
- You want lyrics about your friend, partner, birthday or business: use a tool that makes a new rap from photos. That is what RapVideo AI is for.
- You want two specific people and only have separate photos of them: any two-photo tool works; pick one that runs in your browser so you don't install anything.
- You plan to post publicly and want to keep the sound: pick original music. Tools that keep the original song risk being muted.
- You want the exact original choreography: use Original remake on RapVideo AI, or another tool that recasts the clip.
- You want to recast any video, not just this one: Higgsfield is the more flexible tool.
For most people who just want themselves and a friend in the booth, the two-photo, new-song route is the shortest path: no template hunting, no source clip, and a rap that is actually about you.
Before you post
- Get consent. Everyone whose face is in the video should be fine with it.
- Be thoughtful about the original artists. Takeoff died in November 2022. Putting your own faces in the booth, rather than recreating him, is the more respectful way to join in.
- The original song may be muted. Any tool that keeps the original "Hotel Lobby" recording, including our Original remake, can be muted, limited or removed by TikTok, Instagram or YouTube. A new original song avoids matching the copyrighted track.
- Don't present it as real. It is an AI video and a fan trend.
FAQ
What is the best Hotel Lobby AI app?
It depends on what you want. For a rap about you and a friend from two photos, in a browser, RapVideo AI is built for exactly that. For the exact original clip, use a tool that recasts the performance. For recasting any video, Higgsfield is the most flexible.
Is there a free Hotel Lobby AI generator?
Some tools give free starter credits or a free preview, usually with limits. RapVideo AI is paid (10 credits for a standard video), and failed renders are refunded automatically.
Which Hotel Lobby AI apps work with two separate photos?
Most of the tools above take two photos, one person each. RapVideo AI also takes one photo with both people, or a single photo for Solo.
Can I make it with my own lyrics?
Only tools that make a new song let you steer the lyrics. On RapVideo AI you write a topic of up to 120 characters and the rap is written around it, in the topic's language.
Do these apps clone my voice?
RapVideo AI does not: it uses AI voices. Tools that recast the original clip keep the original performers' recording.
Why is the Hotel Lobby song muted on my video?
If your video uses the original recording, platforms can detect it and mute or limit it. A newly written song does not match that track.
