An AI rap generator can mean three very different things: a tool that writes rap lyrics, a tool that makes a full rap song with vocals, or a tool that makes a rap video of real people from their photos. Most "best of" lists mix all three, which is why the answer to "which one is best" usually feels wrong.
This guide sorts them by what you actually want to end up with. We checked each tool on its own pages in October 2026. It is written by the team behind RapVideo AI, so you know where we stand, and we have tried to keep it fair.
Three kinds of AI rap generator
| What you want back | Type of tool | Examples (checked October 2026) | What you give it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Text you can read, edit or perform yourself | AI rap lyrics generator | General AI chat assistants; Suno's lyrics tool | A prompt |
| An audio track with AI vocals | AI rap song generator | Suno, ElevenLabs Music, Udio | A prompt or your own lyrics, plus a style |
| A video of real people rapping | AI rap video generator | RapVideo AI | One or two photos and a topic |
The quickest way to pick: think about where the result is going. A notebook, a playlist, or a group chat and a social feed.
1. AI rap lyrics generators
If you plan to rap it yourself, or you just want a funny verse for a card, a lyrics generator is all you need. General AI chat assistants (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and others) will write rap verses from a prompt and let you rewrite them line by line. Suno also has a lyrics generator; its page says you describe the subject, mood and style of the rap lyric you want.
Good for: writing practice, drafts, captions, a verse you will perform. Not for: anything you want to hear or watch. You still need a voice, a beat and, for social media, a picture.
2. AI rap song generators (audio with vocals)
These make a full track: AI vocals rapping over a beat. You get audio, not video of anyone.
- Suno. Generates songs from a prompt, with lyrics it writes or lyrics you paste in Custom mode, and its own pages say it handles rap. The free plan gives 50 credits a day but, as listed, no monthly song downloads and no commercial rights; paid plans add downloads and commercial use, and also let you record or upload your own voice.
- ElevenLabs Music. Generates full songs with vocals from a prompt, and lists several languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese and more). The free tier is for personal use only.
- Udio. Still lets you create and listen on its platform, but its help center says downloading of audio, video and stems has been disabled since its Universal Music Group partnership. Check its current status before you plan to use a song anywhere else.
Good for: a song to listen to, a beat-plus-vocals demo, a track for your own edit. Not for: putting real people's faces on it. To turn a track into a video, you still have to make or find visuals and sync them yourself.
3. AI rap video of real people from photos
This is the newest kind, and the one people share most: a short video in which two friends (or one person) rap a song written about them, with mouths moving to the words. It is what RapVideo AI is built for.
How it works on RapVideo AI:
- Add people: two photos (one person each), one photo of both, or one photo for Solo.
- Pick a stage: Hotel Lobby, Luxury Lobby or Studio Booth.
- Type a topic of up to 120 characters, or start from a quick tag like birthday, anniversary, best friends or my shop.
- Generate. A language model writes the lyrics from your topic, then a video model makes the picture, two AI voices and the beat in one pass, so the lip-sync and the music come out together. It takes about 2 to 3 minutes.
The rap follows the language of your topic: write the topic in Spanish and you get a Spanish rap. The default standard video is 720p, 12 seconds, 9:16 vertical, ready for TikTok, Reels or Shorts. You can also pick a Standard, Fast, Pro or Ultra model if you want a different look or length.
There is also an Original remake style that puts two people into the original "Hotel Lobby" clip with the real song. It needs two people and ignores your topic, because it raps the original lyrics. For a rap about you, use New song.
Good for: birthdays, roasts, anniversaries, a friend's send-off, a shout-out for a small business, anything where the point is seeing these people rap. Not for: getting the lyrics or the audio as separate files, using your own recorded voice, or uploading a song you already have. RapVideo AI gives you the finished video.

How to get better AI raps, whatever the tool
The model is only as good as what you tell it. These tips work in every kind of AI rap generator.
- Be specific. "Birthday rap" gives you a generic birthday rap. "Maya turns 30, still can't parallel park, owes me $20" gives the model jokes to work with.
- Use real names. Names make lines rhyme around a person, and they make the result feel made for someone.
- Add one or two details, not ten. A short rap has room for a couple of jokes. Pick the best ones.
- Set the tone. Say whether it is a roast, a sweet anniversary verse or hype for a launch.
- Write in the language you want back. Many tools follow the prompt's language. On RapVideo AI, the rap is written in whatever language your topic is in.
- Keep it kind if real people are in it. A roast lands better when the person is in on it, and you should only use photos of people who agreed.

Which one should you use?
- You will perform it yourself: a lyrics generator.
- You want something to listen to or a track for your own project: an AI song generator. Suno and ElevenLabs Music are both options; compare their free tiers and download rules first.
- You want to send or post something your friends will actually watch: an AI rap video. A song about a person hits harder when that person is on screen rapping it, and with RapVideo AI it takes a couple of photos and one sentence, with nothing to edit or sync.
FAQ
What is the best AI rap generator?
It depends on what you want back. For lyrics, any AI chat assistant works. For an audio rap song with vocals, Suno and ElevenLabs Music are the main options. For a rap video of you and your friends from photos, RapVideo AI is built for exactly that.
Is there a free AI rap generator?
For lyrics, yes: many AI chat assistants can write rap verses without paying. For songs, Suno has a free plan (50 credits a day, no monthly downloads, no commercial rights) and ElevenLabs Music has a free tier for personal use. RapVideo AI is not free: a standard video costs 10 credits. The single pack is $9.99 for 12 credits, and the Basic plan is $29.90 a month for 100 credits. If a render fails, the credits are refunded automatically. See pricing.
Can an AI rap generator rap in other languages?
Many can. On RapVideo AI the rap follows your topic's language, so a topic written in French, Spanish or Chinese gets a rap in that language. ElevenLabs Music lists English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese and more.
Can the AI rap generator use my voice?
Not on RapVideo AI: it uses AI voices and does not clone voices, so the rap will not sound like you or any real artist. Suno's paid plans list recording or uploading your own voice. If your own voice matters, that is the kind of tool to look at, and you would then have no video of you.
Can I upload my own song or lyrics?
The RapVideo AI generator does not take uploaded songs or full lyrics; you give it a topic and it writes the rap. Song generators like Suno let you paste your own lyrics.
How long does an AI rap video take?
On RapVideo AI, about 2 to 3 minutes. A standard video is 12 seconds; longer lengths are available on some models.
