The short answer
You can become an AI rapper from a single photo. Add a clear photo of yourself (Solo), or add a friend for a duo, write a line about what your rap should say, and the AI writes the verses, makes the beat and renders you performing it on stage, lip-synced, in about 3 minutes. The voice is an AI rap voice, not a clone of yours or any artist's. A standard 12-second 720p video is 10 credits, the $9.99 Single pack covers one, and a failed render is never charged.
The AI rapper is you
Many AI rapper tools hand you an invented character or a voice with no face. Here the performer is whoever is in your photo. Your face is on stage, your name is in the bars, and the story is yours. The AI handles the parts that usually take years: writing, flow, the beat and the performance.
You can go Solo and be the only rapper, or bring someone along as your duo partner. Duos get two distinct AI voices, so it sounds like two people trading lines.
How to become an AI rapper
- Upload your photo. Choose Solo for just you, or add a second photo (one person each) or one photo of both of you.
- Pick your stage. Hotel Lobby (orange), Luxury Lobby or Studio Booth.
- Write your rapper story. Up to 120 characters about who you are on the mic and what you're rapping about.
- Perform. Tap Make our rap video. About 3 minutes later you are rapping an original track, lip-synced.
Give your AI rapper a persona
The best AI rapper videos have a character. Write the topic from your rapper's point of view, with something true about you blown up to legend size:
- The day-job legend: “I'm Carla, I do taxes by day and run the karaoke bar by night”
- The underdog: “Felix, 5 foot 4, undefeated on the pickup court since 2019”
- The proud parent: “dad of three, master of the school run, never late once”
- The retiree: “Grandma June, 78, still the fastest knitter in Leeds”
- The duo: “Ivy and Noor, two nurses on the night shift who keep the whole ward going”
Need a stage name before you start? The rap duo name generator has a Rapper names tab for solo names, and you can tap a name to drop it into the topic.
Looking the part: photo tips
The performance can only be as good as the face it starts from. A few things make a big difference:
- Face the camera. A front-facing photo gives the lip sync the most to work with.
- Good light. Daylight or a bright room, no heavy shadows across the face.
- One person per photo. For a duo with two photos, crop out anyone else; the photos don't need to match.
- Nothing covering the mouth. Hands, mics, masks and big sunglasses get in the way.
What the AI rapper can and can't do
- It can rap in your language. Write the topic in French, Spanish or another language and you rap in it.
- It can fit your platform. Vertical 9:16 by default, plus 1:1 and 16:9; 12 seconds by default, up to 15 (30 on the top model).
- It won't use your real voice. The vocals are AI rap voices.
- It won't impersonate artists. No cloned celebrity voices and no lyrics from real songs.
- It won't use other people's faces without consent. Only yourself, friends or family who agreed. No celebrities.
