The trend

What is the Ozil goal AI trend?

The goal. On 1 November 2016 Arsenal were losing 2-0 away at Ludogorets in the Champions League and came back to 2-2. In the 87th minute Mohamed Elneny played Mesut Özil through. He lifted the ball over the goalkeeper as he rushed out, went round two defenders who slid in at his feet and rolled it into the empty net to win it 3-2. It is still one of the calmest goals anyone has scored.

The AI trend. A 15-second vertical cut of that goal, with a French song over it, went round TikTok in the summer. In October people started swapping someone else into it with AI: Uncle Phil, SpongeBob, Shrek, a T-Rex, Dumbledore, then their friends, their dads and their dogs.

What makes it the Ozil goal. The long ball, the keeper coming out, the little chip, the ball dropping out of the sky, the two defenders who slide in and miss, and the slow walk into the empty net. If one of those is missing, nobody gets it.

What you get here. One photo in, a 15-second vertical video out, beat for beat with the clip and with its sound. You stay in your own clothes, like a fan who ran onto the pitch. Not affiliated with Mesut Özil, Arsenal, Ludogorets or UEFA: no real players, no match footage and no badges in your video. Say it's AI when you post it.

Beat for beat

What's in the 15 seconds

Every render follows the viral clip move for move, so people get it in the first second.

The chip

You run onto the long ball, the keeper rushes out, and just before he gets there you lift it over his head. He dives and slides past on the grass.

The two defenders

The ball drops out of the sky and you bring it down. A defender slides in, you stop it dead and he slides straight past; a second one lunges and ends up on the grass too.

The empty net

A wide shot as you jog across the box, totally calm, then the camera behind the goal as you roll it in. The song carries it the whole way.

Who scores it

Anyone with a clear photo. Use photos of your own children only, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to agree.

You, in your work clothes

Shirt, hoodie, dress, whatever you're wearing in the photo. The calmer you look walking it into the net, the funnier it gets.

You score, your mate in goal

Add a second photo and your friend is the keeper you chip, diving at thin air. The video to send to whoever lost the five-a-side.

Your kid scores, dad in goal

Your child takes the long ball and chips dad, who ends up face down on the grass. One photo of the two of you works too: the one on the left scores.

Your dog

It takes the ball on four legs, noses it over the keeper and trots it into the net. It stays an animal; paws stay paws.

Photo tips

Tips for a better Ozil goal video

Face the camera

A front-facing photo with the face sharp and both eyes visible gives the best likeness, even in the wide shots.

Full body if you can

The whole clip is running and turning, so a photo that shows your legs and shoes helps the moves fit your build.

Your own clothes

You play in whatever you're wearing in the photo. A football shirt is fine, but club badges and sponsors are left off.

Even light

Soft daylight or a well-lit room, no hard shadows across the face. The stadium light is added on top.

FAQ

Ozil goal AI: questions

What is the Ozil goal AI trend?

People swap themselves, their friends or a character into a 15-second clip of Mesut Özil's goal at Ludogorets: the chip over the keeper, two defenders sliding past and the tap into the empty net, with the same French song. It took off on X and TikTok in October 2026 with Uncle Phil, SpongeBob, Shrek and a T-Rex scoring it.

Which Özil goal is it?

His winner for Arsenal away at Ludogorets in the Champions League on 1 November 2016. Arsenal came back from 2-0 down and Özil scored in the 87th minute to make it 3-2: he lifted the ball over goalkeeper Milan Borjan, went round two defenders and rolled it into the empty net.

Who passed to Özil for that goal?

Mohamed Elneny, who had come on as a substitute, played him through with the long ball. The rest he did on his own.

How do I make an Ozil goal AI video?

Add one clear, front-facing photo, keep Ozil Goal selected and press Make. A few minutes later you have a 15-second vertical video of yourself chipping the keeper, beating two defenders and walking it into the net, with the sound of the clip. No prompt and no editing.

Is Ozil goal AI free? How much does it cost?

It isn't free: a 15-second video uses 10 credits at 720p. The price shows on the button before you press Make, a failed render is never charged and pack credits never expire. See the price box above for the packs.

Does the video have sound?

Yes. It comes with the sound of the viral clip, lined up with the chip and the finish, so it posts straight to TikTok, Reels or Shorts.

Can my friend or my kid be the goalkeeper?

Yes. Add a second photo and that person is the keeper who rushes out, gets chipped and dives at thin air. With one photo of the two of you, the one on the left scores and the one on the right goes in goal.

Will I be wearing a football kit?

No. You play in the clothes from your photo, like a fan who ran onto the pitch. Nobody in the video wears a club badge, a sponsor or a real player's number.

Can my dog score the Ozil goal?

Yes. One photo of your dog and it takes the ball on four legs, noses it over the keeper and trots it into the net. It stays an animal with real paws.

Is this affiliated with Mesut Özil, Arsenal, Ludogorets or UEFA?

No. We are not connected to Mesut Özil, Arsenal, Ludogorets, UEFA or the Champions League in any way. It's a fan trend effect with your own face in it, and no real match footage appears in your video. Say it's AI when you post it.

Your turn on the ball
