The trend

What is the Ramalama costume walk?

The format. The phone is held low, filming only the shoes as someone walks toward it in step with the beat. On the whispered line in the song, the camera tilts up and the whole outfit is revealed: the walk, the reveal, the stare.

Where it came from. It is set to Róisín Murphy's "Ramalama (Bang Bang)" from 2005. The walk started as an outfit reveal on TikTok in July 2025, and by September friends in matching leather jackets and full cosplay were passing 20 and 30 million views. It peaked around Halloween 2025.

It is back this October. In October 2026 the costume walk returned with family and group costumes: one family's reveal passed 53 million TikTok views in about ten days.

The AI version. No costume to buy, no friend to hold the phone at ankle height. Add a photo and the effect picks a costume, a vampire, a witch, a skeleton or a pirate, and shoots the whole walk. Every take is a different costume.

Three shots, one reveal

What's in the 10 seconds

Every render follows the same walk, so it reads as the trend at a glance.

The walk

The camera low on the ground, moving back as you stride in on the beat: only the shoes and the hem of the costume.

The tilt up

On a hard beat the camera flies up from your shoes to your face and the whole costume is revealed.

The stare

You stop, stare into the lens with a slow head tilt, a flash pops, then a smirk.

A new costume every take

A vampire, a witch, a skeleton suit or a pirate, homemade-looking and never revealing. Your face stays uncovered.

The street

A suburban street at dusk, autumn leaves, porch lights and carved pumpkins on the steps.

The sound

An original dark electro-pop beat with a kick on every step and a whoosh on the reveal. Add "Ramalama (Bang Bang)" from the TikTok sound library when you post.

The costumes are fun and never revealing, and the face always shows. Use photos of your own children only; anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to agree.

Your Halloween costume reveal without the costume. Make a few takes and post the best look.

Friends

Two of you striding in side by side in matching costumes, the way the trend started.

A parent and a child

The family costume walk is this year's version. One photo of the two of you works.

Your dog or cat

Four paws walking in, then a little cape or hat on the reveal. It stays a real animal.

A clear face

The reveal ends on your face, so use a front-facing, evenly lit photo.

Full body helps

A full-body photo gives the model your build for the walk.

Collect the costumes

Every take is a different costume. Make a few and post the best, or all of them as a series.

Add the song when you post

The video has its own beat; add "Ramalama (Bang Bang)" from the sound library and line the reveal up with the whisper.

FAQ

Ramalama costume walk AI: questions

What is the Ramalama trend?

A TikTok format set to Róisín Murphy's "Ramalama (Bang Bang)": the camera films only the shoes as someone walks in, then tilts up on the whispered line to reveal the whole outfit. It began in July 2025, peaked at Halloween 2025 and came back with family costumes in October 2026.

Can I do the Ramalama costume walk without a costume?

Yes. Add a photo and the effect dresses you in a Halloween costume and shoots the low walk, the tilt up and the stare.

Can I choose the costume?

Not yet: the effect picks one, usually a vampire, a witch, a skeleton or a pirate, and every take is different. Make a few and keep your favourite.

Does it use the Ramalama song?

No, the video comes with an original beat. Add "Ramalama (Bang Bang)" from the TikTok or Instagram sound library when you post.

Can two of us walk in together?

Yes. Add a photo of each of you, or one photo of you together, and you walk in side by side in matching costumes.

Can my dog do it?

Yes. Pets walk in on four legs and get a little pet costume, a cape or a hat, and stay real animals.

How long is it, and what does it cost?

10 seconds by default; you can pick 5 to 15. The credits show on the button before you press Make, a failed render is never charged, and pack credits never expire.

Do I need an app or a prompt?

Neither. It runs in the browser on a phone or a laptop; the street, the costume, the camera moves and the beat are already set.

Walk in, look up, reveal
