Three shots, one clip

What's in a gas station dance video

The same beats as the clip everyone knows, in 15 seconds.

Shot 1 · The dance (0–6.5s)

An empty forecourt in the low sun. The dancer starts a few steps away, walks up to the phone and gets more and more into it until both arms are flung over the head, laughing out loud.

Shot 2 · The selfie (6.5–8s)

The phone whips round to the one filming: a big grin and a hand thrown up, the canopy behind.

Shot 3 · The car exit (8–15s)

Someone climbs out of the car, the camera goes right up to their face until they crack up laughing, then they do a little dance between the parked cars.

The meme

What is the gas station dance?

Where it comes from. The gas station dance is a road-trip clip from summer 2024 with Russian influencer Mikhail Litvin, his friend Ravshan and Adel Veigel. They pull over at a roadside gas station with the sun low in the sky: Ravshan suddenly starts dancing on the forecourt, Litvin films himself on his phone, and Adel climbs out of the car, all to Akcent's “On And On”. No choreography, just friends being ridiculous. Fans passed it around as “Litvin and Ravshan at the gas station at 4 a.m.”

Why it blew up in September 2026. For two years the clip was a fan favourite. In late September 2026 AI video templates appeared that could put anyone into the same scene, and within days the old clip was being re-uploaded as “the original” and “the full version” while remakes spread across TikTok, Reels and Shorts. In Russian it travels as the «Делай» (“do it”) trend; in English it is the gas station dance, the gas station meme or the gas station trend.

Why it works as a meme. You recognise it in the first second: the empty forecourt, the flailing dance, the selfie, the car door. The format never changes, so the joke is who you drop into it: your friends, your dad, your coworkers, the whole group chat. Three parts for three people is also why it goes by the Litvin dance, or the Litvin Ravshan Adel dance.

How people make it now. Nobody drives to a gas station. You add photos and the AI plays the three shots with your faces. RapVideo AI does it from one to three photos, with the dance, selfie and car exit cut together for you and the original song on top.

Photo tips

Better photos, better gas station dance

The video can only be as clear as the face it starts from.

Clear and front-facing

Even light, looking at the camera, one person per photo. Group photos and side angles make faces drift.

Nothing on the face

No sunglasses, masks or caps pulled low. Hidden features get guessed, and guesses don't look like you.

Full body if you have it

The dance and the car exit show the whole body. The AI fills in whatever the photo leaves out, including your outfit.

What is the gas station dance AI trend?

It recreates a summer 2024 road-trip clip of Mikhail Litvin and his friends: one dances at a gas station, one films a selfie, one climbs out of the car. It took off in late September 2026, when AI templates let anyone put their own face, or their friends' faces, into those three shots without filming anything.

Is this the gas station TikTok trend?

Yes. It's the same gas station video people post on TikTok and Reels as the gas station dance trend, also called the gas station meme or the gas station AI trend. Here you make your own gas station AI video from photos instead of filming at a real pump.

How do I make a gas station dance video?

Add three photos (or switch to Solo for one), keep the Gas Station Dance effect selected and tap Make the effect. The 15-second clip with the dance, the selfie and the car exit is ready in a few minutes.

Do I need three people?

No. Three photos puts one friend in each shot, like the original. With one photo (Solo) you play all three parts; with two, photo 1 dances and photo 2 takes the selfie and steps out of the car.

How much does it cost?

Effects use the same credits as rap videos: a 15-second Standard video is 10 credits at 720p (the same as one song, so a $9.99 Single covers it) or 7 at 480p. Packs never expire and failed renders are never charged.

Does it come with the original song?

Yes. Every gas station dance comes with the original 15 seconds of Akcent's “On And On”, laid over the finished video, so it is ready to post.

Why is it 15 seconds?

The clip follows the original's pacing: about 6.5 seconds of dance that builds up, a quick selfie, then the car exit, a face close-up and a little dance by the cars. You can pick a shorter length, but it takes 15 seconds to fit the whole meme.

Can I upload photos of other people?

Only with their permission, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian's consent. No celebrities. Photos are private and used only to make your video.
