All three spread their arms out wide and step side to side together. The ending everyone copies.

The trend

What is the Babydoll dance?

The song. “Babydoll” is a retro soul-pop single by the British singer Jamie Miller, released by Republic Records on 7 August 2026. It is not the Dominic Fike song of the same name, which went viral on TikTok in early 2026 as a sad audio clip, with no dance.

The dance. On 16 August 2026 Jamie Miller posted a TikTok of three friends in black suits and sunglasses walking down a sunny street hand in hand, then breaking into a simple Motown-style two-step: step left, step right, snap, shimmy the shoulders. He captioned it “Had to hit the babydoll two step”. By 12 October 2026 it had about 6.5 million views.

The relay. From late August into mid-September, Julianne Hough, Meghan Trainor, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Lucy Hale and the Savannah Bananas baseball team did the dance with him or on their own. People search for it as the Babydoll dance, the baby doll dance, the Babydoll two-step or the Jamie Miller dance.

Still going. In October 2026 the song reached the UK top 3 and was featured on Dancing with the Stars, so the two-step is still turning up on feeds. The AI version puts you in the suit without learning the steps or finding two friends who will.

Photo tips

Better photos, better dance

Everyone wears sunglasses, so the rest of the face and the hair do the work.

Clear and front-facing

Even light, looking at the camera, one person per photo. Side profiles and blurry crops make faces drift.

Any outfit works

The AI dresses you in the black suit, white shirt and sunglasses. Your face, hair, skin tone and build stay yours.

Two friends: two photos

Use one photo per person. A photo of you both also works: the one on the left dances in the middle.

FAQ

Babydoll dance AI: questions

Can't find your answer? Email us at [email protected] and we'll get back to you.

What is the Babydoll dance?

It is the two-step Jamie Miller and his friends did to his song “Babydoll” on TikTok in August 2026: three people in black suits and sunglasses on a sunny street, holding hands, then stepping left and right, snapping and shimmying the shoulders. It is also called the Babydoll two-step, the baby doll dance or the Jamie Miller dance.

Is it Jamie Miller's Babydoll or Dominic Fike's?

Jamie Miller's (2026). Dominic Fike also has a song called “Babydoll”, which went viral on TikTok earlier in 2026 as a sad audio clip, but it has no dance. The suits-and-sunglasses two-step is Jamie Miller's.

How do you do the Babydoll dance?

It is a simple two-step: step to the left and bring the other foot in, step to the right and bring it in, snap your fingers on each step and let the shoulders shake. Add little kicks and hops, and finish with your arms spread wide. Or skip the practice and make it here from a photo.

How many photos do I need?

One. You dance in the middle with two backing dancers. Add a second photo and that person dances on your right instead of a backing dancer; a photo of you both works too (left goes in the middle).

Do I need a suit in my photo?

No. Wear anything: the AI dresses everyone in the black suit, white shirt and sunglasses of the original, and keeps your face, hair, skin tone and build.

Is Jamie Miller's song included?

No. The video comes with an original retro soul track at the same tempo, so it is ready to share. To post it as the trend, add “Babydoll” from the TikTok or Instagram sound library when you upload; the moves are timed to the same beat.

How long is the video and how much does it cost?

15 seconds, vertical 9:16, made in a few minutes. 10 credits at 720p, the same as one song, so a $9.99 Single covers it. Packs never expire and failed renders are never charged.

Is this affiliated with Jamie Miller?

No. RapVideo AI is independent and not affiliated with Jamie Miller, Republic Records or anyone in the original videos.

Can I use celebrity photos?

No. Use photos of yourself and people who agreed to be in the video; anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian's consent. Photos are private and used only to make your video.
