What is a Christmas rap song?

It goes back a long way. Kurtis Blow's "Christmas Rappin'" came out on Mercury Records in 1979 and is often called the first rap single on a major label. Run-DMC's "Christmas in Hollis" followed in 1987 on the charity album A Very Special Christmas and still comes back every December.
